Tides Counseling and Wellness is a fee-for-service group psychotherapy practice that serves all populations across the lifespan. Our counselors practice within their comfortability and preference to serve individual children, teens, and adults as well as couples and families. The theoretical approaches used at Tides Counseling and Wellness are determined by the therapist coupled with their interest and training. We hope to offer a variety of approaches that fit the needs of the clients we serve. What really sets Tides Counseling and Wellness apart is our community and multidisciplinary practice that includes counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and play therapists; each and every provider and their unique skill set makes a big difference in the lives of our clients!
We are looking for motivated and warm clinicians to join us in meeting clients where they are. Clinical experience working with trauma, addictions, children/adolescents, and couples is a perk. The clinician must be curious about continuing their professional growth as a therapist and enjoy continuous learning and furthering their education. The therapist also must be diligent to maintain their license independently throughout their time with Tides. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, confident, passionate and eager to learn. We hope to add clinicians that are interested in a position with growth potential as we continue to expand our office!
Tides is looking for outpatient psychotherapists that hold the following licenses (with the ability to practice in North Carolina): LCMHC, LCSW, and LMFT. We are also open to hiring associate level licenses. If you are ready to work in private practice alongside a collaborative and supportive staff, set your own schedule, develop your ideal caseload, and enjoy the community of Tides Counseling and Wellness, we’re ready to work with you!

While we encourage our therapists to take control of their own schedules, please keep in mind that each therapist typically offers afternoon/evening appointment times two to three times per week. We work hard to provide services to our working clients, families, and school age children/teens; this means accommodating some afternoon and evening hours. With transparency, we also want any clinicians interested in applying to know that we consider “full-time” as seeing approximately 25 clients per week.
